Your points on Renner making his mistakes are all nice and dandy and I agree with you, but in the end it's questionable how much input he could bring with what he's learned. And I think that you will agree, that even after receiving training from a professional, one is not automatically going to be perfect. As much as I appreciate realism, in that case you'd actually have to start criticising the bow he used on the plane, because obviously, that wouldn't work either.
Now now now. I’m not saying he shoulb be perfect (Although some fangirls might say that he is, but I believe that is both in another sense, and that I’m straying from my actual point).
But what he’s doing, those are rookie mistakes your trainer will usually make you stop doing in the space of a few training sessions. Form is very simple to correct, and if he was trained by an actual professional, that would have probably been the first thing that they would’ve covered.
And realism is not what I’m after. If it was, I would’ve probably killed myself right at the start where they were harnessing some weird alien powerblob to have infinite energy, or the point where the demigod comes through the magical blob and then blobs people into being his mindless servant blobs to blob the blob blob blob blob blo- I’m sorry where was I?
Ah yes. My problems aren’t with realism, or that he should be perfect. My problem is that he claims expert training, and a considerable bit of it, and yet he hasn’t stopped doing the most basic mistakes that we make our novices get rid of within the space of 10 training sessions? Tsk Tsk.
